Tax Senior Associate – CPA Lawyer

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant and Philippine Bar Examination Passer
• Interested to build a career in the Tax and Legal services
• Experience in rendering tax consultancy work is a plus
• Can collaborate and work with a virtual team
• Willing to go on fieldwork, as necessary

Job Description:

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare detailed technical tax memoranda/advice across a range of tax matters including international transactions, tax treaties, tax reform issues, merger and acquisition, corporate restructuring, and broad tax planning and compliance.
• Secure tax rulings from the Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue to clarify gray areas in tax laws and to confirm the tax treatment of particular transactions.
• Handle tax disputes of clients with taxation authorities which involved preparation of position papers and protest letters and follow-ups and discussions with revenue officers on their findings.
• Provide a tax compliance review.
• Review corporate tax returns.
• Assist in the business organization, registration, post-registration, expansion, spin-offs, mergers, or closure and represented clients before government agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Local Government Units, etc.
