Company Nurse (Part-time)

As Company Nurse he/she will be responsible for providing healthcare services, managing medical emergencies, and promoting health and wellness among employees. The role involves conducting health assessments, administering first aid, managing health records, and ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations. The Company Nurse also collaborates with HR and management to create a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Healthcare Services:

• Provide basic healthcare services, including first aid, wound care, and emergency response.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Assess and treat minor injuries or illnesses and refer employees to external healthcare providers when necessary.

1. Health Assessments:

• Conduct regular health screenings and assessments for employees (e.g., blood pressure checks, vision tests).
• Monitor the health status of employees with chronic conditions and provide support as needed.

1. Medical Record Management:

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records.
• Document all care provided and ensure compliance with medical privacy regulations.

1. Occupational Health and Safety:

• Collaborate with the Occupational Health and Safety team to ensure workplace compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in risk assessments and recommend measures to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Assist in the investigation of workplace accidents and incidents.

1. Emergency Response:

• Act as the first responder to medical emergencies within the workplace.
• Coordinate with local emergency services as needed.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and protocols.

1. Administrative Duties:

• Manage the company’s medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are adequately stocked and maintained.
• Prepare reports on employee health and wellness for management.
• Assist in the development of health policies and procedures.
• Partly function in recruitment – sourcing and interviewing applicants.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification.
• Licensure: Must hold a valid nursing license (e.g., Registered Nurse).
• Experience: Previous experience in occupational health, emergency care, or a similar role is preferred.
• Certifications: Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Occupational Health Nursing is advantageous.
• Strong clinical and medical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential medical records.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
