Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services supporting the government, allied partners, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator to support a unique Navy program located on the remote island of Diego Garcia.
Job Responsibilities
The Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator is responsible for operating silk screen and press equipment to produce printed materials in accordance with Navy quality standards and production requirements. Responsibilities include setting up screens, preparing inks, aligning materials, and operating manual or automated presses to produce accurate, high‑quality prints.
The operator monitors press operations, adjusts settings as needed, and inspects finished products to ensure color accuracy, registration, and overall print quality. This role includes following established production schedules, maintaining consistent output, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Additional duties include cleaning and maintaining screens and press equipment, managing ink and supply inventory, documenting production output, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. The Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator supports mission‑driven printing and production needs in a remote environment.
