Job description:
The Public Relations Officer will provide support to the Public Relations Department of a dynamic online entertainment company. The role is ideal for someone who thrives and can keep up with a fast-paced environment, and prefers to operate behind the scenes ensuring everything runs smoothly.
The Public Relations Officer will assist with day-to-day communication tasks, manage content, coordinate with media, and support digital initiatives. This mid-level role is support-focused and requires significant cross collaboration with different teams. The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, resourceful, driven with a go-getter attitude, and has a strong sense of ownership and accountability. In addition, the role requires creative thinking that goes beyond the box, strong writing skills, and a level of project management know-how.
As a member of the Public Relations Department, the candidate is expected to maintain strict confidentiality, be quick to their feet, polished, professional, and with a composed demeanor.
The candidate must possess soft skills that are crucial for the role including an outgoing personality, ability to adapt to different situations and people, an energetic confidence, and a positive outlook.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Public Relations & Brand Management
- Assist in the execution of comprehensive PR plans and campaigns that align with the company’s branding and communication goals.
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of press releases, internal memos, and PR-related content.
- Ensure all communication outputs follow brand guidelines and reflect the company’s tone of voice.
- Assist in monitoring industry trends, media sentiment, and competitor strategies to proactively manage the company’s public perception.
2. Media & Stakeholder Relations
- Maintain updated media contact lists and coordinate media outreach under the guidance of the Director of Public Relations or designated line manager.
- Help draft media materials including press kits, fact sheets, and Q&A documents.
- Assist in organizing media events, interviews, and press briefings including managing logistics and guest lists.
3. Crisis Communication & Reputation Management
- Monitor traditional and digital media coverage and flag potential reputational risks.
- Support the development of response materials and talking points in crisis scenarios.
- Help track sentiment and coverage related to company and industry developments using monitoring tools.
4. Corporate Communications & Content Development
- Write and edit compelling and engaging content that aligns with brand messaging and company goals. Written output includes but is not limited to press releases, advertorial, speeches, newsletters, articles or executive statements when required.
- Ability to adapt tone and style to suit different media formats (social media, blogs, traditional media, etc.).
- Collaborate with the marketing, creatives, and media teams to produce creative storytelling assets.
- Help support Corporate Social Responsibility communication and internal messaging initiatives.
5. Digital PR & Social Media Management
- Support digital PR efforts by engaging with online communities and influencers.
- Contribute to social media responses and ensure alignment with brand messaging.
- Assist in digital asset preparation, including visuals, videos, and copy for campaigns.
- Review and proof copy for social media captions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or media coordination. Experience in online gaming, integrated resorts, entertainment, or tech is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino (Mandarin proficiency is a plus). Submission with writing portfolios or PR campaigns are encouraged.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with PR and social media monitoring software/tools such as Meltwater, Brandwatch, or Google Alerts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in events planning and management

- Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, and media.
- Experience in managing media inquiries, pitching stories, and securing media coverage.
- Knowledge of crisis communication protocols and maintaining a positive public image during challenging situations.
- Experience managing social media accounts and developing content strategies for platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Understanding of digital marketing techniques, social media metrics, and influencer partnerships.
- Experience in organizing and managing events as well as logistics, guest lists for events such as press conferences, brand activations, or corporate partnerships.
- Ability to act quickly, calmly, and decisively in addressing issues and protecting the company's reputation in line with protocols during challenging situations.
- Strong skills in researching market trends, industry developments, and competitors.

- Keen eye for detail and design.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
