BROAD SCOPE
- We are seeking a strong hunter to grow our ocean freight forwarding business in the
Philippines. The role focuses on new client acquisition, requiring proven experience in
closing large deals (USD 70–80K monthly revenue from a single customer) with full-cycle
sales exposure.
- This is not a farming role. High performers will have the opportunity to grow into a
leadership position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate sales leads and formulate business solutions to cope with customer requirements
that converts from prospect to new win business.
- To work closely with field sales team and business development and maintain sufficient
business opportunities on pipeline.
- To be responsible for proposal compilation, quotation and presentation for new business
inquiries and ensure timely completion and response to RFI and RFQ.
- Works with the operations to develop specialized knowledge with relation to the business
unit for pricing and RFQ preparation.
- To coordinate with internal parties for new customer implementation including project
plan, solution design, warehouse set up, SOP, cost analysis and contracting etc. ensuring
project implementation in good order.
- To achieve and exceed sales and profit target being assigned by management.
- To liaise with vendors ensuring operation performance meeting our cargo-partner and
customer requirement.
- Prepare and conduct customer visits, calls, presentations and commercial and contractual
discussions as required.
- Build and maintain relationship with customer to ensure long terms partner and loyalty.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:
- BS/MA degree in Supply Chain Management or any other SCL related courses.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5-8 year(s) of related 3PL selling experience, working experience in business
development, contract logistics, freight forwarding field is required.
- Proven track record in freight forwarding sales, specifically ocean freight
- Successfully closed large accounts generating at least USD 70–80K monthly revenue
from a single client
- Full-cycle sales experience (cold calling, negotiation, closing, and operations
handover)
- Strong client network with the ability to onboard significant revenue quickly
- Hunter mindset with a focus on new business acquisition, not account farming
