General Accountant (Subic Bay, Philippines)

The Accountant is a full-time onsite role that supports the Accounting Manager in executing day-to-day accounting operations. This position is responsible for assisting with payroll statutory benefits accounts payable accounts receivable and compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) requirements in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The Junior Accountant ensures accuracy in financial records and contributes to maintaining strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist in processing payroll and ensuring compliance with statutory benefits.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including invoice preparation payment processing and collections.
• Help prepare and file BIR reports and other government-mandated requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist in internal control audits and help implement corrective measures when needed.
• Provide support in financial reporting and analysis.
• Participate in system updates and improvements under the guidance of the Accounting Manager.
• Perform other responsibilities as may be appropriate to the role.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Knowledge of accounting systems and processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications particularly MS Excel.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Willingness to learn and grow under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.
