Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) is the largest business-led non-governmental organization (NGO) in the Philippines, established in 1970 to promote corporate citizenship and poverty reduction.


Job Summary

The Accounting Intern will provide support to the Accounting Department in carrying out basic finance and accounting functions. The intern will assist in audit preparation, document filing, and financial recording while gaining hands-on experience in accounting processes and internal controls within a professional work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in internal audit activities, including document verification and reconciliation support.
  • Support the filing, organization, and maintenance of financial and accounting documents (both physical and digital).
  • Encode and update financial records, journals, and bookkeeping entries under supervision.
  • Assist in preparing and sorting accounting documents such as invoices, receipts, vouchers, and expense reports.
  • Help ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documents for transactions.
  • Perform scanning, labeling, and archiving of accounting records for proper documentation control.
  • Provide administrative support to the Accounting team as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality of financial data and compliance with organizational policies.

  • Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, document management, and financial record keeping.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (especially Excel and Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.


Work location: Mandaluyong City

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm.
