This role is responsible for monitoring and interpreting regulatory developments and leading programs related to laws associated with product design and material composition, including EU REACH, Global RoHS, PFAS, ESPR, etc.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead defined product environmental compliance (PEC) programs by coordinating activities, managing timelines, and driving issue resolution under the guidance of the Design & Materials Strategy Manager.
  • Develop and maintain resources such as presentations, training materials, and web pages on global PEC laws in conjunction with the legal and training teams.
  • Analyze laws, regulatory requirements, and technical standards related to PEC and translate them into practical guidance and action plans for Emerson businesses.
  • Monitor the global regulatory environment and identify changes that impact Emerson's product portfolio.
  • Apply compliance expertise to support business unit engineering, supply chain, and product/project management teams in making strategic and tactical compliance decisions.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Industrial Automation Monitoring and Control (IAMC) products and materials, understanding how material selection, design, and sourcing affect compliance outcomes.
  • Provide operational support by contributing to process improvements and issue resolution to ensure efficient operations and consistent delivery of high‑quality outcomes.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-related program.
  • or more years of relevant work experience in a compliance-related field.
  • Working knowledge of global product environmental laws related to Design & Materials (, EU REACH, Global RoHS, PFAS, ESPR, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to communicate in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with middle-management stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with product environmental/materials compliance software applications (, Source Intelligence, Assent, iPoint, Greensoft, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Power tools.
