We are seeking a highly skilled licensed Electrical Engineer to serve as Quality Control Lead for the MTerra Solar Project in Gapan, Nueva Ecija. The QC Lead will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation of quality control standards, inspection procedures, and compliance requirements for the MTerra Solar Project. The role ensures that all construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities are performed in accordance with approved specifications, project quality plans, regulatory standards, and company requirements.
The position will lead the QC team in monitoring project quality performance, identifying non-conformances, implementing corrective actions, and coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality project outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Management
- Lead and oversee all QC inspection and quality assurance activities for the project.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
- Review and implement project quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality procedures.
- Monitor quality performance of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality control measures for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and solar installation works.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with project quality requirements.
Inspection and Testing
- Supervise inspection and testing activities related to construction, installation, and commissioning.
- Ensure all inspections are properly documented and records are maintained.
- Coordinate with consultants, client representatives, and third-party inspectors during inspections and testing activities.
- Verify that materials and equipment delivered to site meet approved specifications and standards.
Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions
- Identify, document, and monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
- Ensure timely closure of NCRs and quality-related findings.
- Analyze recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and submit quality reports, inspection reports, punch lists, and quality performance updates.
- Maintain organized quality documentation and project records.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of turnover and quality dossiers.
- Coordinate with project teams regarding quality-related documentation requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, HSE, and contractors regarding quality requirements and concerns.
- Attend project meetings related to quality performance, inspections, and issue resolution.
- Support project management in achieving project milestones while maintaining quality standards.
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise QC Engineers, Inspectors, and other quality personnel.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to the QC team.
- Ensure proper allocation and monitoring of QC manpower across project activities.
- Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement within the project.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Engineer is preferred.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in quality control/quality assurance within construction, infrastructure, power, or renewable energy projects.
- At least 3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory QC role.
- Experience in solar, power, EPC, or large-scale infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, quality standards, and construction methodologies.
- Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and quality documentation/reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willing to accept project-based employment and be deployed in Gapan, Nueva Ecija
