Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Electrical Estimator to join our team. The role involves reading and interpreting architectural and electrical drawings, preparing accurate cost estimates, and writing clear, professional proposals. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills to support project planning and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural and electrical drawings to identify scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems and installations.
• Draft professional proposals that clearly outline scope, assumptions, and pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies.
• Update estimates and proposals based on change orders, RFIs, or revised drawings.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, estimates, and proposals for reference and reporting.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in construction or electrical contracting.
• Strong background in reading and interpreting architectural and electrical drawings.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and construction practices.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting proposals.

Work Schedule

• Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
• Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM EST
