Senior Accountant (AO-14052)

This is a remote position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals companies trusts and partnerships.
  
• Preparation and management of taxation compliance for ITR CTR TRTFBT BAS and PTR.
  
• Preparation of detailed CGT calculations and Division 7A workings.
  
• Independent development of tax planning strategies for complex advisory matters.
  
• Summarising client queries in neat and concise lists for other team members to clarify with clients.
  
• Reviewing cloud-based bookkeeping (Xero and MYOB) to ensure data integrity.
  
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal firm processes.
  

Requirements

• 5 years experience working with Australian tax law and in a public practice environment.
  
• A bachelors degree in accounting Commerce or a related field.
  
• A CA or CPA qualification.
  
• Strong technical tax knowledge and a high level of attention to detail.
  
• Proficiency in Xero and related cloud-based accounting ecosystems.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills: we value real conversations.A proactive commercial mindset with a drive to help clients succeed.

Required Skills:

Proven Experience in Accounting & Admin Support: A minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting administrative support with a focus on attention to detail and managing financial records. Strong Xero and Zoho Experience: Proficiency in using Zoho CRM and customer management and Xero for accounting (invoice payment reconciliation bills creation from supplier invoice etc.). Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. Proven Ability to Follow-Up: Ability to follow up on quotes and invoices in a timely manner with a professional demeanor.
