Make your impact

As Weirs dedicated on-site representative at the Taganito HPAL operation youll play a critical role in keeping essential GEHO pumping equipment operating safely and efficiently. Combining technical expertise leadership and customer engagement youll oversee maintenance activities support site reliability and build trusted relationships that help deliver outstanding service outcomes.

Offered with the role:

• Monday - Saturday onsite working roster 8-hour per day

• Standard roster 2 months onsite 2 week rostered break

• Work vehicle

• Onsite single person accommodation

What youll do

• Provide technical support and maintenance oversight for GEHO pumps and associated equipment.

• Supervise contractor maintenance teams of up to 20 personnel ensuring safe and efficient execution of work.

• Act as the primary on-site contact between Weir and the customer building strong working relationships.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide practical solutions to improve reliability and performance.

• Monitor spare parts usage inventory levels and consignment stock requirements.

• Prepare regular reports on equipment condition maintenance activities and stock consumption.

• Support contractual and service agreement requirements while ensuring customer expectations are met.

• Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What Youll Bring

Must haves:

• Qualified Mechanical engineer under Philippines law

• Minimum 5 years experience in mining minerals processing or heavy industry.

• Proven experience leading maintenance teams or contractors in a site-based environment.

• Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting background with pumps or rotating equipment.

• Experience working directly with customers and managing stakeholder relationships.

• Good working knowledge of maintenance planning reliability and safe work practices.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multicultural teams.

• A proactive trustworthy and self-motivated approach to work.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in nickel mining or similar mining environments.

• Familiarity with ERP systems preferably SAP or MRP for inventory and maintenance management.

• Basic commercial knowledge related to service level agreements and contractual requirements.

• Ability to work proactively and build trust in a multicultural environment including interaction with Japanese stakeholders.
