Purchasing Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily purchasing operations and manage a team of buyers / purchasing staff.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best value procurement.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Review and approve purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
• Coordinate with other departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost analyses, and supplier performance.
• Train, coach, and evaluate the performance of purchasing staff.
