Job Description

The Resource Mobilization Finance Analyst sits within the Finance Unit's Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team and reports directly to the FP&A Manager, who also oversees organizational budgeting and forecasting. The Analyst works in close coordination with the Chief of Resource Mobilization and Marketing to provide financial planning, analysis, and reporting support for fundraising and business development activities — ensuring these activities are fully integrated with the organization's overall financial planning, budgeting, and compliance processes.



Requirements

Essential skills, knowledge or experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, grants finance, or business development support with Finance function.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, donor budgeting, cost structures, and Indirect Cost Recovery (ICR) principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget vs. actual (BvA) analysis, variance reporting, and tracking fundraising KPIs such as ROI, cost-to-raise-a-peso, donor retention, and conversion rates.
  • Proficiency in ERP financial systems, with experience in income/expense reconciliation and financial data management.
  • Working knowledge of financial compliance requirements, invoice/payment validation, and audit or due-diligence support.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across Finance, Accounting, Compliance, Programs, Legal, Supply Chain, and Resource Mobilization and Marketing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and CRM/donor database systems.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Desirable skills, knowledge or experience

  • Experience in non-profit, donor-funded, or fundraising organizations.
  • Familiarity with grant management systems and donor financial regulations.
  • Experience in financial modelling, preparing business cases or funding strategy papers for donor programs or partnerships
  • Knowledge of Philippine tax and compliance requirements for fundraising and partnerships.
  • Exposure to cost allocation methodologies and ICR policy implementation

Required education and qualifications (certifications, licenses, accreditations, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Finance Management, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification (preferred).
  • Postgraduate coursework or certification in Financial Analysis, Business Development, or Resource Mobilization (an advantage).
  • Ongoing professional development in financial analysis, ERP systems, or donor finance.
  • Training or coursework in Fundraising, Data Analytics, or Marketing Finance is an advantage
