Electromechanical Engineer

Main tasks associated with this position include:

• Reviewing design studies and manufacturer details (drawings, calculations, operation and maintenance documents).
• Participating in workshop inspections of equipment and validating their compliance before shipment.
• Conducting site visits and preparing reports with recommendations.
• Coordinating with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Writing technical tender documents (specifications, contracts) for construction.
• Drafting technical proposal documents (methodologies) as consultants or engineering firms.
• Evaluating manufacturers’ technical-commercial proposals (quality, cost, deadlines).
• Performing occasional on-site inspections throughout project phases.
• Organizing project meetings and preparing minutes.
• Reviewing project schedules, monitoring progress, and suggesting optimizations.
• Managing technical non-conformities and claims.

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree (Bsc or Msc) in Electrical or Mechanical.
• 5+ years of experience in hydropower equipment.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Expertise in hydropower plant equipment (turbine, generator, auxiliaries).
• Proven experience in construction and rehabilitation projects of hydropower plants.
• Specific knowledge of variable-speed pumped-storage equipment is a plus.
• Proven autonomy, rigor, and proactive approach in managing tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of addressing both specialists and non-specialists.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
