Youtube Creative Director

We're looking for a YouTube Creative Director who can partner directly with established business owners, entrepreneurs, and content creators to dream up and execute killer video concepts that drive engagement and business results. You'll be the strategic brain behind content ideation, planning, and quality assurance—working in a lean 2-person team alongside a skilled video editor.

Who We Are:

Content Growth Engine (Team Hummus) is a YouTube creator growth coaching program that partners with ambitious business owners, entrepreneurs, and content creators to develop content strategies that resonate with audiences and drive measurable business impact.

The Role:

You're the creative strategist and ideation engine. Working closely with clients and a dedicated video editor, you'll shape video roadmaps, develop engaging concepts, and ensure every piece of content aligns with brand voice and business goals. You're comfortable diving deep into strategy while executing on tight weekly deadlines.

What You'll Do Each Week:

Content Strategy & Ideation:

• Develop 3-5 video concepts using the Icahn Method (or similar strategic ideation frameworks).
• Research and integrate YouTube growth strategies into content planning.
• Develop video concepts from initial brainstorming through scriptwriting and production planning.
• Align all content with client brand guidelines and business objectives.

Quality Assurance & Leadership:

• Review and QA 3 edited videos before publishing, providing constructive feedback to optimize engagement and retention.
• Collaborate with video editor on revisions and creative direction to elevate final output.
• Analyze content performance and adjust strategies to maximize engagement and conversions.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Create/refine 3 thumbnails or provide creative direction for thumbnail concepts.
• Manage edited video scheduling across client channels with organized project timelines.
• Work directly with clients and leadership to shape video content roadmaps and strategic direction.
• Create presentations (Miro, Google Slides, etc.) translating client ideas into visually engaging narratives.
• Handle ad hoc strategic tasks as needed in a fast-paced environment.

You're a Great Fit If You Have:

Non-Negotiables:

• Proven experience leading YouTube creative strategy or managing a high-growth channel.
• Deep understanding of YouTube culture, algorithm, and audience psychology.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills—able to articulate creative vision and inspire execution.
• Ability to visualize and execute engaging presentations (Miro, Google Slides, or similar).
• Data-driven and analytical mindset, balanced with intuition and trend awareness.
• Comfort with fluid schedules and ability to pivot when inspiration or urgent client needs strike.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Bonus Points:

• Background in marketing, branding, or viral content creation.
• Knowledge of YouTube marketing, SEO, and monetization strategies.
• Experience managing and growing YouTube accounts from scratch.
• Familiarity with strategic frameworks (Icahn Method, Jobs to be Done, etc.).
• Experience with presentation tools and visual communication.
• Trend-awareness and knack for identifying what resonates on social media.
