Compliance Review Officer

Your Role

The Compliance Review Officer will conduct monitoring/quality assurance/review, and advisory of regulatory and AML/CFT compliance practices throughout Maybank Philippines Incorporated (MPI). He/she performs assessment and verification, on risk-based approach, to assess the effectiveness of the control measures and the level of MPI’s compliance against applicable laws, rules, regulations and standards, and report any non-compliance gaps to Compliance Review Head/Chief Compliance Officer and subsequently to the Board and Senior Management. The incumbent shall work closely with related business units as well as local Regulators where applicable as part of the incumbent’s accountability to assist Compliance Review Head and Chief Compliance Officer in managing MPI’s regulatory compliance risk.

Your Impact

• Perform relevant assessment and analysis to develop a risk-based approach compliance review/testing plan which includes validation of reported resolutions to regulatory directives
• Assist in Developing Compliance every testing approach methodology and scope
• Execute planned business units review / quality assurance activities pursuant to the approved scope and resources.
• Working together with stakeholders to address identified issues and gaps
• Assess MPI’s level of compliance with regulations, identify regulatory gaps/ non-compliances, develop action plan (in collaboration with relevant stakeholder), and report to Compliance Review Head/Chief Compliance Officer.
• Monitor progress of rectification and remediation efforts to avoid recurrence of non- compliance issues

Your Profile

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from recognized University
• Knowledgeable of statutory and regulatory, including AML/CFT obligations governing financial organizations in the Philippines is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Offices (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• With good communication and presentation skills
