IT and Cybersecurity Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT & Cybersecurity Manager to lead IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology operations within a growing organization.

This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of IT systems, while also driving cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and compliance. The successful candidate will lead IT operations, manage a technical team, and ensure that systems, networks, and security frameworks support business continuity and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

IT Leadership & Team Management

The IT & Security Manager will lead, mentor, and develop the IT and security team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture. The role includes conducting regular performance reviews, setting clear objectives, and supporting continuous improvement and professional development.

IT Infrastructure & Operations

The role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, including networks, servers, and enterprise applications. This includes ensuring systems are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability, as well as managing updates, patches, and issue resolution to minimize downtime.

The successful candidate will also monitor system performance and proactively address technical issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

The IT & Security Manager will implement and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect organizational systems and data from emerging threats.

This includes conducting security assessments, managing incident response activities, and delivering security awareness initiatives. The role also involves identifying risks through audits and monitoring activities, and working closely with stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

The role ensures that IT policies and procedures comply with relevant industry standards and data protection regulations. This includes maintaining accurate documentation of security controls, audit results, and corrective actions.

The IT & Security Manager will also collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Strategic Collaboration & Business Support

The role acts as a strategic partner to business functions, ensuring alignment between IT capabilities and organizational objectives.

This includes supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, managing system access controls, and coordinating with HR and other departments to ensure secure and efficient IT operations. The role also involves supporting technical requirements for workforce transitions and operational needs.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of managerial experience in IT and cybersecurity roles, with strong expertise in IT infrastructure, security operations, and team leadership.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with system administration, network management, and cybersecurity practices, including endpoint security, access control, and risk mitigation.

Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, networking, and security frameworks is required, along with experience supporting remote work environments and distributed teams.

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCNP, or ITIL are highly desirable.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
