Senior Actuarial Manager

Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role: The Senior Actuarial Manager will be responsible for documentation and execution of IFRS17 project for actuarial financial reporting and will support in ensuring actuarial practices in Eastwest Ageas Insurance are in accordance with international financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities: Develop data, system and process for IFRS17: •Assess the data and assumptions readiness for transition to IFRS17 •Provide user requirement for various data and system •Coordinate with other functions to ensure the data and systems development fulfill IFRS17 requirements •Develop IFRS17 process flow

Collaborate with Finance and other functions in establishing IFRS 17 methodology: •Understand Eastwest Ageas Insurance’s product portfolio and recommend appropriate accounting policy choices •Assess assumption gap compared to IFRS17 requirements and recommend development of new assumptions when necessary •Collaborate with finance when performing financial impact analysis •Understand the impact of IFRS17 on product profitability and assist in the formulation of strategy

Perform data and system UAT IFRS17 Modelling

Essential Skills / Qualifications: · Graduate of BS Mathematics/Statistics or related courses · With at least two (4) years’ experience in an actuarial or in a Risk Management department of a life insurance company or similar experience. · Preferably with experience with Prophet or other actuarial software · Experience with IFRS17
