Azure Integration Lead

Job Overview The Azure Integration Consultant / Architect is responsible for designing, delivering, and governing enterprise integration solutions using Microsoft Azure Integration Services. The role supports organisations in connecting cloud, hybrid, and SaaS systems through secure, scalable, and resilient integration patterns. Depending on experience and seniority, the role may focus on hands-on delivery (Consultant) or architecture, standards, and strategic design (Architect). The role works closely with business stakeholders, application teams, security architects, and platform teams to ensure integration solutions are fit for purpose, sustainable, and aligned to enterprise architecture standards. Key Responsibilities Integration Design & Delivery Design and implement integration solutions using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs and Azure API Management. Apply API-led, message-based and event-driven integration patterns. Translate business and technical requirements into integration designs and implementations. Support integrations across ERP, CRM, HR, data platforms and SaaS applications. Architecture & Standards (Architect Focus) Define integration architecture, patterns, and best practices. Establish enterprise integration standards and reusable assets. Ensure alignment with security, identity, networking, and governance policies. Review and govern solution designs across multiple delivery teams. Quality, Operations & Support Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and retry strategies. Support testing, deployment, cutover, and post-go-live stabilisation. Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues. Contribute to operational documentation and runbooks. Collaboration & Advisory Work with business, application, data, and platform teams. Advise stakeholders on integration approach, tooling, and trade-offs. Mentor junior consultants and developers (Architect / Senior Consultant level). Skills, Experience and Competencies Technical Skills Strong expertise in Azure Integration Services. Experience with REST APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures. Knowledge of data transformation, mapping, and integration patterns. Understanding of Azure security, identity, networking, and DevOps concepts. Experience integrating with enterprise and SaaS platforms. Experience (Role Level Determination) Azure Integration Specialist 10–14+ years of overall IT experience. 7–10+ years of Azure integration and solution architecture experience. Proven experience defining enterprise integration strategies and standards. Azure Integration Consultant 6–8 years of overall IT experience. 4–6 years of hands-on Azure integration experience. Strong delivery focus with proven implementation experience. Competencies Systems thinking in complex SI working effectively across 'complicated' to 'complex' integrations, adapts delivery approach (agile/waterfall/hybrid), and making sound decisions with potentially incomplete information. Delivery governance and assurance applying fit for purpose governance, decision records and quality controls to protect outcomes and minimise rework. Stakeholder and vendor management aligning multiple parties (client, vendors and delivery streams) to scope, milestones and technical standards. Commercial and requirements discipline clarifying assumptions, dependencies, risks and Customer Furnished Items (CFIs), and maintains requirements traceability and clear 'definition of done'. Architecture-to-execution alignment translating solution intent into build ready artefacts (interfaces, data flows, controls, environments and sequencing) that engineering teams can execute with confidence. Secure-by-design delivery embedding security, privacy, identity and access controls into integration designs from day one (designed in, not bolted on). Reuse and acceleration leveraging reference architectures, patterns, standards and accelerators to increase delivery velocity and consistency. Operational readiness designing for run (monitoring, support model, runbooks and auditability) to ensure stable operations post go live. Qualifications and Certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Integration Services, or equivalent Azure certification. Azure Developer Associate (Consultant). Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Specialist / Architect). TOGAF or architecture certifications (Specialist / Architect desirable). What Success Looks Like Integration solutions are secure, reliable and scalable. Data and process flows operate with minimal manual intervention. Integration failures are well monitored and quickly resolved. Solutions are easy to operate, support and extend. Azure Integration Services are established as a core enterprise capability. Delivery teams consistently apply standardised integration patterns. Additional Requirements & Eligibility Right to work in the Philippines: must hold (and maintain) the appropriate visa/work authorisation for the role and assignment length. Hold a current passport suitable for business travel (including the ability to obtain visas as required) and be willing to travel where needed.
