Job Description
We are seeking a Presales Solutions Engineer – Voice & Telephony to join our US-based Managed Services Provider (MSP) client. This is a primarily customer-facing pre-sales role responsible for partnering with sales teams, solution specialists, and customers to understand business requirements, design appropriate voice and telephony solutions, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and support the sales process from discovery through solution presentation and quoting.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in Mitel voice technologies and telephony infrastructure, combined with excellent customer communication and presentation skills. You should be comfortable participating in customer meetings, presenting technical solutions, translating business requirements into technology solutions, and working closely with sales teams to develop accurate and commercially viable proposals.
· Presales & Solution Consulting
o Partner with sales representatives and solution specialists to support the complete pre-sales process.
o Engage directly with customers to understand their business, communication, and telephony requirements.
o Conduct technical discovery sessions and identify customer needs, challenges, and opportunities.
o Design and recommend appropriate voice, telephony, and unified communications solutions.
o Translate customer business requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
o Prepare solution designs, technical recommendations, proposals, and statements of work.
o Present proposed solutions to customers through video meetings, presentations, and demonstrations.
o Explain complex voice and telephony concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner.
o Support sales teams during customer presentations, technical discussions, and solution negotiations.
o Provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle and assist with customer objections or solution concerns.
· Mitel Voice & Telephony
o Demonstrate strong knowledge of Mitel voice platforms, infrastructure, and related services.
o Assess existing customer voice environments and recommend improvements, upgrades, migrations, or new solutions.
o Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with implementation requirements.
o Stay current with Mitel technologies, voice infrastructure, and evolving telephony solutions.
· Quoting & Commercial Support
o Assist sales teams with solution configuration, pricing, and quoting.
o Prepare accurate bills of materials (BOMs), proposals, and solution pricing.
o Utilize CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) platforms and sales quoting tools.
o Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with customer requirements, technical specifications, and commercial objectives.
o Work with sales and operations teams to validate pricing, licensing, hardware, services, and implementation requirements.
· Customer Engagement
o Participate in customer discovery calls, technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution reviews.
o Build credibility and trusted relationships with customers through strong technical and business communication.
o Communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
o Demonstrate strong business acumen and understand how technology solutions address customer business objectives.
o Maintain a professional and consultative approach throughout customer interactions.
· 3+ years of experience in a Presales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Voice Engineer, Telecom Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role.
· Experience with voice and telephony infrastructure.
· Knowledge of Mitel voice platforms and services.
· Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to conduct technical discovery and translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
· Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Experience supporting sales teams in a pre-sales or solution consulting capacity.
· Strong business acumen and consultative selling approach.
· Experience with technical quoting, solution configuration, or pricing.
· Nice to have
o Mitel certification or relevant Mitel technical certifications. Candidates without certification may be considered but must be willing to obtain required Mitel certifications after joining.

o ConnectWise.
· Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
· Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
