Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP CPI & APIM Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise integration and API management solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in cloud integration, API management, security frameworks, and enterprise-grade connectivity across SAP and non-SAP applications.

This role requires a technically strong professional who can build scalable, secure, and resilient integration solutions while collaborating effectively with architects, business teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement integration flows in SAP CPI following SAP Clean Core guidelines.
• Build resilient and scalable integrations with robust error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring capabilities.
• Develop and manage API proxies, products, and advanced policies in SAP API Management.
• Implement Groovy/JavaScript, script for transformations, validations, and performance optimization.
• Integrate event-driven scenarios using SAP Event Mesh.
• Ensure API-first design principles with high security (OAuth2.0, SAML, JWT, Certificates).
• Collaborate with architects to ensure performance-resilient and cloud-compliant designs.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor integration flows and APIs for high availability and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite development.
• Proven expertise in SAP API Management, including API policies, proxy configuration, products, and security implementation.
• Good experience in Groovy scripting for complex integration logic and transformations.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP Event Mesh and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with SAP Clean Core methodology and extensibility best practices.
• Good understanding of integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, SFTP, JSON, XML, and XSLT.
• Strong knowledge of security standards including OAuth 2.0, SAML, SSL, JWT, API keys, and certificates.
• Ability to troubleshoot integration failures, optimize performance, and support production environments.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
