Payroll Specialist

Job Title: Payroll Assistant Schedule: Full-Time | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with UKG Ready and a strong understanding of payroll processes, employee records management, and payroll compliance. This role is essential in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities Process and assist with bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll using UKG Ready. Maintain and update employee payroll records and information. Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy. Assist with onboarding and offboarding payroll-related tasks. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits. Prepare payroll reports and maintain proper documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies and payroll regulations. Coordinate with HR and Finance teams regarding payroll updates and discrepancies. Assist with payroll audits and year-end reporting processes. Qualifications Required: Proven experience using UKG Ready. Previous experience as a Payroll Assistant, Payroll Administrator, or similar role. Strong understanding of payroll procedures and best practices. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with U.S. payroll processes. Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements. Experience in a remote work environment.
