Insurance Virtual Assistant – Personal & Commercial Line

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Virtual Assistant to support our agency with both Personal and Commercial Lines. This person will assist with quoting, carrier communication, client follow-up, and general insurance servicing. The ideal candidate has previous experience working with a U.S. insurance agency and is comfortable communicating directly with clients, carriers, and underwriters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer inbound calls from clients regarding quotes, coverage, policies, and general insurance questions
• Gather information needed to obtain new insurance quotes
• Prepare and request Personal Lines quotes, including Auto, Home, Renters, Umbrella, and related coverage
• Assist with Commercial Lines quotes, including General Liability, Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation, BOP, Property, and other business insurance
• Enter information into carrier portals and comparative rating systems
• Contact carriers and underwriters to obtain quotes and confirm eligibility
• Make outbound calls to carriers regarding pending quotes, coverage questions, underwriting requirements, and missing information
• Follow up with clients for applications, documents, loss runs, driver information, property details, and other requirements
• Compare quotes, premiums, deductibles, limits, and coverage options
• Track pending quotes and follow up until completed
• Maintain accurate notes and documentation in the agency management system/CRM
• Assist licensed agents with renewals, endorsements, certificates, and other policy servicing when needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with a U.S. insurance agency or carrier
• Experience with Personal and/or Commercial Lines; experience with both is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with insurance carrier portals and quoting processes
• Comfortable speaking with carriers, underwriters, and clients
• Strong English communication skills
• Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills
• Detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple quotes at once
• Experience with insurance agency management systems or comparative raters is a plus
