Job Description
The Accounting & Compliance Assistant provides administrative, accounting, and regulatory compliance support to the company and its clients. The role will primarily assist in the preparation, processing, filing, monitoring, and follow-up of requirements with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Local Government Units (LGUs), and other government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
1. BIR Compliance Support
- Assist in the preparation and filing of BIR tax returns, forms, and supporting schedules.
- Assist in organizing and preparing documents required for BIR registrations, updates, and other transactions.
- Process and follow up applications and requests with BIR Revenue District Offices.
2. LGU and Government Compliance
- Process business permit applications, renewals, amendments, and closures with LGUs.
- Coordinate with Barangay Offices, Business Permit and Licensing Offices (BPLO), Treasurer's Offices, Assessor's Offices, and other relevant government offices.
- Assist in securing clearances, certifications, permits, and other regulatory documents.
- Process transactions with government agencies such as SEC, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other agencies when assigned.
- Monitor the status of pending applications and provide regular updates to the assigned supervisor.
3. Fieldwork and Document Processing
- Personally submit, receive, and follow up documents with BIR, LGUs, and other government agencies.
- Pick up and deliver documents to clients, government offices, banks, and other locations as required.
- Secure receiving copies, acknowledgment receipts, official receipts, reference numbers, and other proof of transactions.
- Properly safeguard original client and company documents while in custody.
- Keep accurate records of documents submitted, received, released, and pending.
- Immediately report issues, deficiencies, additional requirements, or instructions received from government offices.
4. Accounting and Administrative Support
- Assist in basic bookkeeping and recording of accounting transactions.
- Organize invoices, receipts, vouchers, tax documents, and other accounting records.
- Assist in preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents for tax and accounting purposes.
- Encode and maintain client information and compliance records.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems.
- Assist accountants and compliance personnel with other accounting, tax, and administrative tasks as assigned.
5. Client and Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with clients regarding documents and information required for government transactions.
- Provide clear and timely updates regarding the status of assigned transactions.
- Maintain professional communication when dealing with clients and government personnel.
- Escalate unusual issues, assessments, penalties, discrepancies, or requests from government offices to the assigned supervisor before taking further action.
Requirements
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Management, Business Administration, or a related course.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Comfortable performing regular fieldwork and traveling to different government offices and client locations.
- Willing to report for work in La Loma, Quezon City
- Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Able to organize and maintain physical and electronic documents.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing and able to learn government processes and compliance procedures.

Willing to report for work in La Loma, Quezon City Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace. Able to organize and maintain physical and electronic documents.
