About the role
The Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing the hotel's room revenue, RevPAR, profitability, market share, and overall commercial performance through effective pricing, inventory, forecasting, distribution, and demand-management strategies. The role will work closely with the General Manager, Sales, Marketing, Reservations, Front Office, and IHG Revenue Management teams to translate market intelligence and hotel performance data into clear commercial actions.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute short-, medium-, and long-term revenue strategies
Manage daily room inventory and rate availability, reviewing and adjusting room rates based on demand, booking pace, market conditions, and competitor activity
Prepare accurate daily, weekly, monthly, rolling 90-day, and annual forecasts for occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, room revenue, and market segment performance
Monitor competitor pricing and availability on a daily basis and analyze competitor positioning and promotional activity
Optimize hotel distribution across IHG direct channels, brand website, OTAs, wholesale, tour operators, travel agencies, and corporate channels
Review all group and MICE opportunities from a revenue perspective and recommend appropriate group pricing based on displacement, demand, and remaining inventory
Lead regular Revenue Management meetings with the Commercial team to review performance, identify high-demand and low-demand dates, and present recommended pricing and inventory actions
Work closely with Sales to ensure revenue strategy supports commercial objectives and provide pricing guidance for corporate, leisure, group, and MICE business
Evaluate promotional campaigns and their revenue contribution, ensuring promotions are deployed during appropriate demand periods
Monitor and report on occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, room revenue, RevPAR Index, market share, pickup, booking pace, forecast accuracy, market mix, channel production, and other key performance metrics
About you
Minimum 3–5 years of hotel Revenue Management experience
Previous experience as Revenue Manager, Assistant Revenue Manager, Revenue Analyst, or equivalent
Experience with an international hotel brand is strongly preferred
IHG experience is a significant advantage
Strong understanding of hotel pricing, forecasting, inventory, yield management, and distribution
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Advanced Excel skills required
Experience with STR and hotel revenue-management systems preferred
Familiarity with IHG systems such as GRS or relevant revenue platforms is an advantage
Strong understanding of Phuket's hospitality market and seasonality
Experience with resort, leisure, group, or MICE properties is preferred
Strong English communication skills and ability to present complex data clearly to senior management
