Fashion Designer Leather Belts & Bags

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with experience designing leather belts and bags. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of fashion trends leather materials product construction and creating designs that are both stylish and commercially viable.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop leather belts handbags and other leather accessories.
• Create original concepts sketches technical drawings and product specifications.
• Develop designs based on brand requirements current fashion trends and target customers.
• Select appropriate leather hardware colors textures and other materials.
• Create detailed design specifications for manufacturers and production teams.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure designs are accurately produced.
• Review samples and recommend design or construction improvements.
• Research fashion trends competitors materials and new design ideas.
• Maintain organized design files specifications measurements and product details.
• Make revisions based on feedback while maintaining the overall design direction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer preferably specializing in leather goods bags belts or accessories.
• Strong knowledge of leather materials hardware stitching construction and finishing.
• Ability to create fashion sketches and technical/product drawings.
• Experience developing products from concept through sample/prototype stage.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop or similar tools.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of proportions measurements and product construction.
• Good understanding of current fashion and accessory trends.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Portfolio showcasing previous bag belt leather goods or accessory designs is required.
