Do you thrive on solving the daily puzzle of who goes where, when, and why? This role puts you at the centre of a fast-moving maintenance operation — juggling calls, technicians, and subcontractors to keep urgent jobs moving and clients in the loop.
We're hiring a Scheduler to support a growing multi-trade maintenance and field-service company operating across Queensland, Australia. You'll be the first point of contact for client and team calls, and the person making sure the right technician or subcontractor is in the right place at the right time — every day.
Handle a high volume of inbound calls from clients and team members as the first point of contact
Understand client service requests and translate them into scheduled work
Spot and escalate urgent or reactive maintenance jobs so nothing critical falls through the cracks
Build and optimise daily schedules to keep technicians productive and travel time low
Coordinate multiple tradesmen and subcontractors to keep a busy job board moving
Keep clients informed from job allocation through to completion
Support safety and compliance tracking (job tagging, subcontractor documentation)
Pitch in on general admin and ad hoc scheduling support as the team needs it
2+ years' experience in scheduling, coordination, dispatch, or a similar role
Comfort managing a high volume of repetitive tasks without losing accuracy
Sharp attention to detail and strong organisational instincts
The confidence to prioritise and allocate resources on the fly
Great communication skills and a calm head under pressure
A proactive, solutions-first mindset
Quick to pick up new systems and processes
Solid MS Office skills; comfortable working independently or as part of a team
A trustworthy, reliable approach to your work
Background in construction, building, maintenance, or field-service industries
Familiarity with Simpro, ServiceM8, ServiceMate, or similar field-service platforms
Experience coordinating technicians, tradesmen, or subcontractors specifically
Exposure to HSEQ compliance processes
A tertiary qualification in Project Management or related field
Room to grow your scheduling and coordination skill set on a busy, varied job board
Work closely with an established AU-based operations team
If you love bringing order to a fast-paced day and get satisfaction from a job board running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
