Your Role

As an Accounts Officer, you are responsible for:

• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices and employee expense claims in
• a timely manner while ensuring accuracy of details.
• Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments to suppliers, ensuring adherence to
• company policies and payment schedules.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records and files.
• Supplier Queries: Address and resolve supplier inquiries regarding payment status,
• discrepancies, and other related matters.
• Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable to general ledger
• accounts.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintenance of accurate
• financial records. Including allocating customer payments and supplier payments.
• Credit Card Reconciliation: Process employee credit card transactions and reconcile to
• credit card statements.
• Intercompany Accounts Receivable: Issue invoices and record payments.
• Customer Statements: Assist with customer statements mid-month and at Month end.
• Credit Notes: Process credit notes on request from site managers.
• Ad-Hoc Tasks: Support the finance team with various tasks as needed.
• Other Duties: Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Experience in an AU accounting set up in a manufacturing, construction, retailing industry
• Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role in accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
