Job description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement to lead and manage the Company's overall procurement activities, including the critical procurement and buying of fish and other key raw materials.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Manage and develop strategies for fish procurement/buying, including supplier sourcing, price negotiation, quality requirements, volume planning, and supply availability.
  • Monitor local and international market trends, fish prices, supply conditions, and other factors affecting procurement costs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fishing companies, traders, and other business partners.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and supply continuity.
  • Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Logistics to ensure procurement requirements support business operations.
  • Develop procurement strategies, policies, controls, supplier performance standards, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Procurement team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 8–10 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience in fish procurement/buying is highly preferred.
  • Background in tuna, seafood, or food manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and cost analysis.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of procurement risks, market trends, and supply chain management.
  • Willing to travel as required for supplier visits, sourcing, and procurement activities.
