The Accounts & HR Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting, payroll processing, tax and statutory compliance activities of the Casio South East Asia Pte. Ltd. – Manila Representative Office. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely payroll administration, and compliance with Philippine tax and labour regulations, while supporting regional finance and HR teams where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full set of The Philippines Representative Office’s accounts, including accounts payable, accruals, prepayments, deposits, journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial schedules, expense reports, and supporting documents for management and external advisors
- Process vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, and payments in accordance with internal policies
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Liaise with Head Office Accounts Team, banks, external auditors, legal and tax agents as required
- Manage monthly payroll processing for local employees, including salary computation, statutory deductions, and payment schedules
- Ensure compliance with Philippine statutory requirements, including but not limited to BIR (withholding tax, compensation reporting), SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions
- Prepare and submit payroll-related statutory filings and reports on a timely basis
- Assist with employment contract administration and payroll data updates
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a payroll and documentation perspective
- Coordinate with Head Office HR Team on payroll, benefits, and compliance matters
- Perform other ad-hoc finance, payroll, or administrative duties as assigned
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of Financial & HR records
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or ACCA
- Possess 2 to 6 years of relevant working experience in accounting and payroll administration
- Working knowledge of Philippine payroll practices and statutory contributions (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and payroll processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting and preferably payroll systems
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines of regional head office
- Effective communication skills in English preferred
