Job Summary:
DOZA Group Inc. is seeking an experienced, highly capable, and execution-driven Head of Operations to join our senior leadership team during a period of rapid expansion.
This is not simply a role focused on maintaining current operations. We are looking for a leader who can build ahead of growth — creating the organizational structure, systems, controls, leadership layers, and operating discipline required for a company scaling from 400+ employees toward a workforce in the thousands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scaling the Organization
- Lead the operational transformation required to support DOZA’s next stage of growth, anticipating requirements rather than reacting to bottlenecks.
- Design scalable management structures, reporting lines, approval authorities, and accountability frameworks.
- Partner with the CEO in translating growth strategy into operational capability — evolving DOZA into a professionally managed, scalable organization without losing its entrepreneurial speed.
Company-Wide Operations
- Lead and oversee the company’s overall day-to-day operations, translating CEO direction into clear plans, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure strong coordination among Projects, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and HR/Admin.
- Establish clear decision-making and escalation structures, reducing unnecessary dependence on the CEO for routine decisions.
Project & Construction Operations
- Maintain management-level oversight of all active projects — schedules, budgets, manpower, procurement, subcontractors, and quality.
- Establish standardized project reporting and review mechanisms across the company.
- Identify delays, cost overruns, and bottlenecks before they become critical, escalating major concerns to the CEO with clear analysis and recommendations.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead and coordinate department heads and key operational leaders, establishing clear KPIs and accountability mechanisms.
- Build the next layer of leadership beneath senior management so the company can scale without every decision flowing through the CEO.
- Partner with HR on organizational design, succession planning, and senior-level recruitment.
Systems, Processes & Scalability
- Review existing processes and introduce stronger systems, SOPs, controls, and automation where needed.
- Establish clear approval matrices and delegated authorities appropriate for a rapidly growing organization.
- Improve communication and information flow between project sites and head office.
Financial & Commercial Performance
- Work with Finance and Project teams to monitor budgets, operating expenses, collections, and profitability.
- Establish regular operational and financial performance reviews against budget, schedule, and margin targets.
- Help management identify underperforming projects or processes and establish corrective action plans.
Procurement, Supplier & Internal Controls
- Strengthen procurement and purchasing systems across the organization, including approval workflows, canvassing, and vendor evaluation.
- Establish stronger segregation of duties and controls around purchasing and disbursements.
- Work closely with Finance and Legal to safeguard against unauthorized transactions, financial leakage, and conflicts of interest.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role managing large-scale operations, multiple concurrent projects, and sizable teams.
- Experience in a rapidly growing construction company is highly preferred
- Proven track record scaling an organization’s systems, structure, and leadership bench through a high-growth period.
- Strong command of project controls, procurement, and financial/commercial fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead management teams, with strong judgment on organizational design and delegation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable operating at both strategic and execution level.
- Willingness to travel regularly to project sites nationwide.
