Hotel Sales Manager

JOB BRIEF

• The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive sales initiatives, strategic client relationship management, and market development across the hotel’s revenue-generating areas, including Rooms and Food & Beverage. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing and expanding existing accounts, and maximizing hotel exposure through effective sales calls, client engagement, and market intelligence. The Hotel Sales Manager plays a key role in achieving monthly and annual revenue targets while ensuring alignment with the hotel’s overall business objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the development, implementation and regular update of the Sales Department's operations manual, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of contracts, agreements and client correspondence.
• Ensure all sales activities, bookings and accounts are properly documented and traceable.
• Support the preparation of the annual sales and marketing plan.
• Maintain an efficient filing system (manual and electronic).
• Ensure all client interactions are handled professionally, efficiently and courteously.
• Respond to client inquiries, concerns and requests in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Ensure smooth coordination with internal departments to meet client expectations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold brand standards at all times.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets, including room nights and revenue.
• Contribute to the preparation and execution of the sales budget.
• Monitor account performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
• Ensure cost-effective sales activities and efficient use of resources.
• Conduct regular sales calls, site visits and client meetings to generate new business.
• Identify, qualify and develop new accounts while maintaining existing client relationships.
• Plan and execute sales strategies to increase market share.
• Maintain strong knowledge of hotel products, services and market trends.
• Conduct competitor analysis and provide market insights to management.
• Organize and participate in hotel inspections, client presentations and sales trips.
• Carry out telemarketing and follow-up activities to secure business.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Implement sales action plans aligned with the overall strategy.
• Support the development and performance of team members through guidance and coaching.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and standards.
• Participate in training programs to enhance sales and product knowledge.
• Promote teamwork, collaboration and a positive work environment.
• Provide feedback to management on team performance and market conditions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of managerial experience in hotel sales or related roles.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and hotel systems.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
