What will you do?
As a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping Aurecon attract, engage and secure future-ready talent across Australia and New Zealand. Working as part of our offshore recruitment capability, you will deliver end-to-end recruitment for a diverse portfolio of roles while partnering closely with hiring leaders, recruiters and business stakeholders to shape talent strategies, strengthen candidate pipelines and support Aurecon’s growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Partnering
- Partner with hiring leaders and Talent Acquisition colleagues across Australia and New Zealand to understand workforce priorities, role requirements and future capability needs.
- Provide considered recruitment advice, market insights and sourcing recommendations that help leaders make confident and informed hiring decisions.
- Contribute to workforce, succession and capability planning by identifying talent risks, emerging skill needs and opportunities to build stronger candidate pipelines.
End-to-End Offshore Recruitment Delivery
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activity for roles across Australia and New Zealand, from briefing and sourcing through to assessment coordination, offer management and onboarding handover.
- Deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes for technical, specialist, project-critical and hard-to-fill roles in partnership with local Talent Acquisition teams.
- Create a consistent, efficient and human-centred recruitment experience for candidates, hiring leaders and internal stakeholders.
Candidate Attraction, Sourcing and Pipeline Development
- Design and deliver proactive attraction and sourcing strategies that engage high-quality passive and active candidates across priority skill areas.
- Build future-ready talent communities by mapping talent markets, identifying competitor talent and nurturing relationships with candidates aligned to Aurecon’s current and future needs.
- Develop compelling candidate messaging that brings Aurecon’s purpose, culture, projects and career opportunities to life in a competitive talent market.
Talent Intelligence and Market Insight
- Conduct talent mapping, competitor analysis and market intelligence activity to inform recruitment plans and strengthen sourcing outcomes.
- Translate talent market data into practical insights on candidate availability, skill trends, salary expectations and hiring risks.
- Share insights with the broader Talent Acquisition function to improve advisory capability and support more strategic workforce conversations.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Champion smarter, AI-enabled sourcing and recruitment practices that improve speed, quality and candidate engagement while retaining human judgement and care.
- Identify opportunities to simplify recruitment processes, improve ways of working and strengthen offshore delivery for Australia and New Zealand.
- Support adoption of recruitment tools, templates and insights that help the Talent Acquisition function operate as a future-focused talent advisory capability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline.
- 8–10+ years’ experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or sourcing, ideally within professional services, engineering, infrastructure, consulting or similarly complex talent environments.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end recruitment across multiple roles, stakeholders and geographies.
- Strong sourcing, attraction, talent mapping and candidate engagement capability, with confidence using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing channels.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with hiring leaders and influence recruitment outcomes through insight, judgement and commercial understanding.
- Curiosity, adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in AI-enabled recruitment and future-ready talent practices.
Key Performance Indicators
- Deliver agreed recruitment activity and hiring outcomes across Australia and New Zealand, including role briefing quality, sourcing delivery, shortlist conversion and offer acceptance.
- Improve time-to-shortlist, time-to-fill and quality-of-hire indicators for assigned requisitions, with a focus on technical, specialist and hard-to-fill roles.
- Build and maintain future-ready talent pipelines for priority capability areas, supported by talent mapping, competitor insight and proactive candidate engagement.
- Strengthen candidate attraction outcomes through compelling candidate messaging, proactive sourcing campaigns and consistent follow-up with high-potential talent.
- Maintain high hiring leader and candidate satisfaction by delivering a responsive, clear and human-centred recruitment experience.
- Provide timely and useful market insights that help Talent Acquisition and business stakeholders make informed decisions on role design, sourcing strategy and hiring risk.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify recruitment activity, improve offshore delivery and adopt AI-enabled tools responsibly.
