Design Engineer (Global Engineering Team)

Black & White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy with over 1,100 professionals across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Since 2007, we have delivered engineering consultancy services across multiple sectors, providing pragmatic and efficient design solutions that consider both operational and maintenance requirements.

We are expanding our Global Engineering Team (GET) in Manila and are looking for experienced engineers to support global projects, technical reviews, R&D initiatives, and the development of company-wide design standards.

Electrical Design Engineer (GET)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review Stage 2 and Stage 3 design developments to ensure compliance with BWE Brand Design Standards

• Develop and maintain company-wide technical standards, design guides, and knowledge bases

• Support bid reviews and ensure technical proposals meet client requirements

• Prepare flexible data centre test-fit layouts for multiple hyperscale requirements

• Develop efficient data centre site development plans and plant distribution strategies

• Strengthen BIM standards and processes for test-fit projects

• Support R&D initiatives by studying emerging technologies and products

• Perform electrical engineering calculations and technical studies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Licensed Electrical Engineer preferred

• 3-7 years of experience in a multidisciplinary design consultancy environment

• Experience in large-scale projects; data centre experience is an advantage

• Proficient in LV power systems, lighting, FDAS, earthing & lightning protection, and ELV systems

• Knowledge of Dialux, Amtech, ETAP, Navis, Bluebeam, or equivalent software

• Working knowledge of British Standards and international electrical design codes

• MV power systems experience is an advantage but not mandatory

• Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers is preferred

Mechanical Design Engineer (GET)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare flexible data centre test-fit layouts and efficient plant distribution plans

• Strengthen BIM standards and processes for global projects

• Support R&D initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies and engineering solutions

• Perform mechanical engineering calculations and technical studies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred

• 3-7 years of experience in a multidisciplinary design consultancy environment

• Experience in large-scale projects; data centre experience is an advantage

• Proficient in chilled/heating water systems, ventilation systems, and fuel systems

• Knowledge of sanitary/plumbing and fire protection systems is an advantage

• Experience with HAP, PipeFlo, Navis, Bluebeam, or equivalent software

• Working knowledge of British Standards and international mechanical design codes

• Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers is preferred
