Job description

The Account Manager is responsible for the overall management and operational performance of assigned residential properties. The role serves as the primary liaison between the property management company, property owners, homeowners/tenants, and on-site teams, ensuring that properties are well-maintained, financially sound, compliant, and aligned with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Property Operations Management – Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned residential properties, ensuring efficient delivery of property management, engineering, security, housekeeping, and administrative services.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management – Maintain strong relationships with property owners, homeowners’ associations, residents, and other stakeholders by addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Financial Management – Monitor property budgets, operating expenses, collections, disbursements, and financial performance to ensure proper utilization of funds and achievement of financial targets.
  • Team Supervision – Lead, supervise, and evaluate on-site property management teams, ensuring that employees are properly guided, trained, and accountable for their respective responsibilities.
  • Maintenance and Facilities Oversight – Ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance, building inspections, repairs, and other property-related requirements to maintain the safety, functionality, and value of the property.
  • Resident Relations – Oversee the proper handling of resident requests, complaints, incidents, and service concerns, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining positive resident satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Risk Management – Ensure compliance with company policies, property rules and regulations, government requirements, safety standards, and applicable condominium/residential property regulations.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management – Coordinate and monitor third-party contractors and service providers, ensuring that services are delivered according to approved scope, quality standards, contracts, and agreed timelines.
  • Reporting and Documentation – Prepare and review operational, financial, incident, maintenance, and management reports for submission to clients and senior management.
  • Property Improvement – Identify operational issues and recommend improvements, cost-saving measures, and projects that will enhance property operations, resident experience, and overall property value.
  • Emergency and Incident Management – Lead the appropriate response to emergencies, accidents, property damage, and other critical incidents while ensuring proper documentation and coordination with concerned parties.
  • Performance Monitoring – Track key performance indicators and service standards of assigned properties and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Business Administration, Real Estate Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in property, condominium, residential, facilities, or building management.
  • Strong knowledge of residential/condominium property operations, budgeting, maintenance, and customer relations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and handle sensitive resident/client concerns professionally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management-related systems.
  • Professional certifications or Real Estate Management/Property Management experience is an advantage.
