Country Manager – Philippines

Location: Manila

Reports to: Regional Managing Director – Senior Management German HQ.

Position Summary

The Country Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance. The role carries full responsibility for commercial growth, profitability, operations, customer satisfaction, and people development.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideally suited to an experienced business leader who enjoys building teams, developing customers, and delivering sustainable growth in a medium-sized organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership & Growth

• Develop and execute the strategic business plan for the Philippines.

• Deliver sustainable revenue and profit growth.

• Identify opportunities to expand market share and strengthen the brand of the company.

• Drive growth across equipment, chemicals, rental + service contracts, and spare parts.

Commercial Leadership

• Lead the sales organisation and support major customer relationships.

• Develop partnerships with key hospitality groups, consultants, dealers, and distributors.

• Ensure strong pricing discipline and margin management.

• Expand business opportunities across hotels, restaurants, healthcare, and institutional catering.

Financial Management

• Own the full P&L of the Philippine business.

• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, inventory, and working capital.

• Ensure profitable and sustainable growth.

Operations & Customer Experience

• Ensure excellent customer service and technical support.

• Drive collaboration across sales, service, finance, and administration.

• Improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Leadership & Organisation Development

• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team.

• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer focus.

• Develop future leaders and succession planning.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies and Philippine regulatory requirements.

• Maintain effective reporting and internal controls.

• Work closely with SEA leadership to implement strategic initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Experience

• 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience.

• Proven P&L responsibility and track record of delivering growth.

• Experience in B2B environments such as:

• Foodservice equipment

• Hospitality supply

• Chemicals

• Industrial or technical products

• Distribution businesses
