Advocacy and Campaigns Officer

Job Description

The Advocacy and Campaigns Officer (A&C Officer) supports the delivery of Save the Children Philippines' (SCP) advocacy and campaign agenda at the national and local levels. The post is responsible for conducting policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy support to advance children’s rights and influence policy and practice. The role leads the implementation and monitoring of child-led and public-facing campaigns, including digital and reactive campaigns, while ensuring meaningful, ethical and safe participation of children in accordance with SCP safeguarding standards.

The post also manages SCP Ambassadors and other strategic influencers to strengthen the organization's visibility, advocacy impact, public engagement and resource mobilization efforts. Working closely with portfolio teams, partners and external stakeholders, the A&C Officer contributes to evidence-based advocacy, campaigning, coalition-building and policy influencing that advance SCP's strategic priorities.

Requirements

Essential skills, knowledge or experience

• At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in any of the following: advocacy, public policy, campaigning, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, or related fields.
  
• Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, advocacy planning, campaign implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
  
• Experience working with government institutions, civil society organizations, networks, coalitions, development partners, and community stakeholders.
  
• Experience supporting or facilitating child participation, youth engagement, or rights-based advocacy initiatives is an advantage.
  
• Strong understanding of national governance processes, public policy development, and legislative systems.
  
  

Desirable skills, knowledge or experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital engagement platforms.
  
  

Required education and qualifications (certifications, licenses, accreditations, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Development Studies, Communications, Social Sciences, Law, International Development, or a related field.
