Social Media Manager - Video Editing & SEO

Remote | EST/ET Overlap Required We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to manage and grow the online presence of a Canadian mortgage brokerage. This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage content planning, video editing, publishing, SEO, channel optimization, analytics, and growth strategy across m ultiple social media platforms. The primary goal of this role is to increase brand awareness, reach, engagement, and overall online visibility. Candidates must be available for regular working-hour overlap with the Eastern Time (EST/ET) time zone for communication, collaboration, approvals, and team coordination. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage a consistent social media content strategy and content calendar Manage content across YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram Edit both short-form and long-form video content Repurpose existing videos into Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and other platform- specific formats Write engaging captions, hooks, titles, descriptions, and calls to action Schedule and publish content consistently across all social media platforms Optimize social media content for SEO, search visibility, and platform discovery Conduct keyword, hashtag, topic, and competitor research Optimize YouTube titles, descriptions, thumbnails, tags, playlists, and channel content Identify relevant content trends, topics, and growth opportunities Help manage comments, engagement, and audience interactions Track key performance metrics including reach, views, engagement, follower growth, watch time, and traffic Analyze content performance and recommend improvements Test different content formats, hooks, topics, posting strategies, and distribution methodsMaintain consistent branding, messaging, and quality across all platforms Bring forward new content ideas and opportunities to grow the brand What We're Looking For: Proven experience managing social media accounts for a business, professional brand, or service-based company Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Strong video editing skills Experience creating and editing Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and long-form video content Working knowledge of social media SEO and YouTube SEO Strong understanding of organic social media growth strategies Experience managing a content calendar and publishing schedule Strong written English and ability to create engaging social media copy Ability to review analytics and make recommendations based on performance Strong attention to detail and brand consistency Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of deliverables Proactive, organized, and able to bring forward new ideas without constant direction Ability to work with regular EST/ET business-hour overlap Nice to Have: Experience working with mortgage, real estate, financial services, or professional service businesses Experience marketing to a Canadian or North American audience Graphic design experience using Canva or similar tools Experience creating YouTube thumbnails and social media graphics Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools Familiarity with AI tools for content creation, research, ideation, and workflow efficiency How to Apply: Please include the following with your application: Link to your Resume A brief introduction about yourself Your relevant social media management experience Links to social media accounts you have managed Portfolio or Examples of videos or content you have edited Any measurable results you have achieved, such as follower growth, views, reach, engagement, leads, or website traffic The social media, video editing, and analytics tools you regularly use Your availability to work with EST/ET overlap
