About the Role
We are looking for a Sr. Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives that improve productivity, support new product introductions (NPI), and ensure the reliability of automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automation solutions that drive productivity improvements.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation equipment, including hardware and software components.
- Support process improvement projects and equipment development activities.
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Tooling, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure project success.
- Support NPI activities, machine setup, pilot runs, and equipment buy-off.
- Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and upgrade production equipment and facilities.
- Manage preventive maintenance and spare parts for automation equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics/Communications Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in an electronics, automated, or high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in automation design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting for both hardware and software systems.
- Hands-on experience in vision inspection, motion control, sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
- Proficient in PLC applications, motion control, LabVIEW, Cadence, and Perforce.
- Experience with industrial robotics is an advantage.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Innovative, self-driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.
