Data Analyst – Accounting & Zoho

a UAE-based trading company importing products from China, Japan, Indonesia and other international markets, is looking for a Data Analyst with Zoho experience to support business reporting, data management and analysis across its trading operations.The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial and operational data, maintaining data accuracy, developing reports, and providing management with clear insights to support business decisions. The role requires someone who can combine data analysis skills with an understanding of accounting and financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, organize, and analyze financial and operational data.
  
• Analyze sales, purchases, inventory, costs, expenses, margins, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  
• Prepare regular management reports and analytical summaries.
  
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Zoho and Excel.
  
• Perform data reconciliation and identify discrepancies across different records and systems.
  
• Analyze accounting transactions, invoices, supplier payments, and customer accounts.
  
• Monitor business performance and identify trends, exceptions, and unusual transactions.
  
• Support Zoho data integration, migration, and data-quality activities.
  
• Consolidate information from different data sources for management reporting.
  
• Work with accounting and operational teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  
• Provide ad-hoc financial and business analysis as required.
  
• Recommend improvements to reporting and data-management processes.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  
• Previous experience as a Data Analyst, Financial Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, MIS Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar.
  
• Strong accounting or finance background.
  
• Hands-on experience with Zoho; experience with Zoho Analytics and/or Zoho Books is highly desirable.
  
• Experience analyzing financial and operational datasets.
  
• Experience within trading, import/export, wholesale, or distribution is advantageous.
  
• Technical Skills
  
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, reconciliation, and data analysis.
  
• Financial and management reporting.
  
• Data cleaning, validation, and reconciliation.
  
• Dashboard and report development.
  
• Understanding of P&L, balance sheet, AP, AR, expenses, inventory, and reconciliations.
  
• Zoho reporting and data management.
  
• Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
