Sr. Automation Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a Sr. Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives that improve productivity, support new product introductions (NPI), and ensure the reliability of automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement automation solutions that drive productivity improvements. Design, develop, and maintain automation equipment, including hardware and software components. Support process improvement projects and equipment development activities. Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Tooling, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure project success. Support NPI activities, machine setup, pilot runs, and equipment buy-off. Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and upgrade production equipment and facilities. Manage preventive maintenance and spare parts for automation equipment. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics/Communications Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. At least 3 years of experience in an electronics, automated, or high-volume manufacturing environment. Strong background in automation design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting for both hardware and software systems. Hands-on experience in vision inspection, motion control, sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems. Proficient in PLC applications, motion control, LabVIEW, Cadence, and Perforce. Experience with industrial robotics is an advantage. Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and teamwork skills. Innovative, self-driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.
