Mechanical Engineer

Job Qualifications:

• Has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Has at least 10 years of professional engineering experience in an Industrial Engineering Services, EPC, or production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in mechanical engineering and the design of process equipment, pumps, rotating equipment, pressure vessels, mechanical conveying and feeding equipment, and stress analysis is preferred.
• Experience in Materials Engineering is an advantage.
• Experienced in preparing data sheets and Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and conducting technical bid evaluations.
• Has worked in one or more of the following industries is preferred: Energy and Chemicals, Power, Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology, and Manufacturing.
• Has a strong knowledge of ASME Codes applicable to pressure vessels and piping systems.
• Has a working knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
• Familiarity with heat exchangers, rotating equipment, and engineering materials.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines, project teams, and departments.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform thorough reviews of technical documents and engineering drawings.
• Experience in vendor document review, including detailed assessment of vendor designs for technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications and requirements.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications, and other relevant engineering software.
• Strong team player with demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Willing and available to travel for field assignments at industrial facilities and project sites.

Job Description:

• Provides leadership to drive mechanical technical design and project coordination.
• Attends to Client and Internal Team meetings.
• Specifies vessels, pumps, exchangers, rotating equipment, and other process equipment.
• Reviews vendor documents for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Prepares equipment datasheets and full mechanical equipment and system specifications.
• Performs technical and economic evaluations, bid tabulations, and prepare recommendations.
• Manages Project Schedules and Budgets as well as provide weekly reports communicating project status, issues, and needs.
• And other duties that may be assigned.
