About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled CAD Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining accurate technical drawings and CAD files based on project requirements and specifications.

This is an office-based role suitable for someone with strong attention to detail, good technical drawing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify technical drawings using CAD software.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and layouts based on project specifications.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with required standards.
• Make revisions and updates to existing drawings as required.
• Maintain organized CAD files, drawings, and project documentation.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, project managers, and other team members.
• Interpret technical specifications, sketches, and design requirements.
• Ensure drawings are completed accurately and within project deadlines.
• Assist with preparing drawings and documentation for project submissions and approvals.
• Perform other CAD-related tasks as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a CAD Operator, CAD Drafter, Draftsperson, or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and drafting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret technical plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to work office-based.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Australian projects, standards, or clients is an advantage.
• Relevant technical, drafting, engineering, architecture, or design qualifications are preferred.
• Experience with additional CAD or design software is a plus.
