This role will assist with tax preparation, tax planning, IRS correspondence, and client support while collaborating with advisors to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review individual, business, trust, and partnership tax returnsProvide proactive tax planning recommendations for clientsRespond to IRS notices and assist clients with tax-related issuesConduct tax research and stay current with federal and state tax regulationsAssist advisors with tax-efficient retirement and investment planning strategiesReview client financial information for accuracy and completenessPrepare tax projections and year-end tax planning reportsMaintain detailed client records and documentationCommunicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and document requestsEnsure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and firm standardsCollaborate with advisors and operations staff to support client needsTrack productivity, deadlines, and project status updatesQualificationsActive Enrolled Agent (EA) designation requiredMinimum 3 years of tax preparation and tax planning experienceStrong knowledge of federal tax laws and regulationsExperience preparing complex individual and business tax returnsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple deadlinesExperience working with financial advisors, CPA firms, or wealth management firms preferredStrong client service orientationSoftware & Technology SkillsTax preparation software experience requiredExperience with Drake Tax, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar platforms preferredMicrosoft Office SuiteAdobe AcrobatCRM systems experienceRedtail CRM experience preferredMust have reliable high-speed internet (this will be verified)About UsStrittmatter Wealth Management Group is an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) serving high-net-worth individuals, retirees, and business owners since 2007.
