Ruby on Rails Developer

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to lead the development of our backend systems, including APIs and internal admin tools. This role ensures that our platform remains scalable, user-friendly, and efficient for players, coaches, and managers.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs to support web & mobile applications.

Develop and enhance admin / manager-facing tools for content management and user oversight.

Ensure database integrity & performance optimization .

Manage background processing using Sidekiq for notifications, analytics, and data updates.

Integrate AWS services for email delivery, hosting, and media storage.

Work closely with mobile developers to ensure smooth API integration .

Maintain code quality, testing, and security standards .

Requirements

6+ years experience with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Redis, Sidekiq .

Experience in admin dashboard development & data reporting tools .

Ability to analyze & optimize SQL queries for performance.

Experience with AWS services (SES, EB, EC2, RDS, S3)

Strong problem-solving skills and debugging abilities.
