JOB DESCRIPTION

Role:

• Simplify complex technical information into easy-to-understand language for users.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams across different functions.
• Handle requests to create or edit content from start to finish, including drafting, coding, revising, and reviewing.
• Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and completeness of all work.
• Create clear and engaging written and visual content while following company style guides and content models.
• Submit drafts and pre-published content for peer review and audit to maintain quality.
• Researching and gathering information from subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and other sources to understand the product or service being documented.
• Consult with users, designers, and product-development teams to ensure a clear understanding of the user experience.
• Maintain consistency in language, acronyms, and terminology across software products by building and maintaining a "style guide/glossary" of UI copy.
• Work with UX designers and agile teams to provide suitable UI copy for screen designs that align with style guidelines.
• Create and maintain documentation of product interactions in the form of user guides, in-app help, or specification documents with content designers and product owners.

Required Skills

• A degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or other related fields, or a degree in Journalism, English, or Communication.
• Solid writing experience, preferably in a structured authoring environment including any of the following: technical documents, specifications, troubleshooting manuals, or training guides.
• A strong sense of accountability.
• Must have excellent English communication skills (written and oral), stakeholder management skills, and a passion for producing great content
• Must have 2-4 years of experience in writing, editing, and improving existing documentation, while working within a strict style guide or writing, formatting and design standards
• Must have previous experience going through several pages of digital product documentation or source materials and translating those into digestible content for internal or external end users
• Strong portfolio of experience writing UI copy for software, preferably B2B or technical-focused solutions
• Experience writing technical documentation, including user guides, technical manuals or specification documents intended for end-users
• Experience with UX & Software development toolstacks, such as JIRA
• Experience with software development is a must

Junior: 15k-30k
Mid: 31k-40k
Senior: 41k-50k
