About the Role
The Procurement Lead manages Wefund’s end-to-end procurement and vendor lifecycle, driving cost optimization, establishing strong supplier partnerships, negotiating favorable terms, and mitigating risks to support operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and establish the company’s vendor management strategy, including policies, controls, and supplier audit practices.
- Lead regular vendor reviews and audits to assess supplier partner performance.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with critical suppliers, developing a vendor pipeline.
- Lead the vendor / supplier selection process, accreditation / onboarding, performance evaluation, and offboarding.
Contract Management and Negotiation
Lead negotiations to secure optimal terms, service levels, and costs from suppliers.Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and requesting departments to review and manage contracts, ensuring clarity, compliance, and enforceability.Department Operations
Lead and manage all vendor / procurement activities ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.Collaborate with various departments to plan and execute the company’s procurement strategy and operational delivery.Risk and Compliance
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal controls to reduce corruption and financial losses.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management with a specialization in Procurement and Vendor Management, ideally in FMCG, fintech, digital lending, or fast‑paced digital industries.5+ years of leadership experience with at least 4 direct reports.Experience negotiating and managing large‑scale contracts and portfolios.Willingness to work onsite 5× a week at Ortigas Center.Skills
