Job description

We are seeking a skilled UI / UX designer to join our growing team, focusing on the development of software for underserved / rural clinics and hospitals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in crafting intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, with a strong background in creating and maintaining design systems. Proficiency in Figma is a must, as the role involves collaborative work and seamless integration with our engineering team.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of analytics, automation, and clinical user interfaces for software applications targeted at clinics and hospitals, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across the application.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to integrate designs into the web application, providing guidance on best practices for usability and accessibility.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on designs.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand user needs and business requirements, translating them into compelling and user-friendly design solutions.
  • Provide Figma expertise and training to team members, fostering a collaborative design and development process.
  • Rigorously be involved in unit testing processes to ensure that software development deliverables match design standards and principles.

Ideal Profile

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in UI / UX design, with a focus on creating design systems and designing healthcare, analytics, and / or other data-intensive software solutions.
  • Extensive proficiency in Figma, with a strong portfolio showcasing design system implementations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of usability principles, user-centered design, and accessibility standards.
  • Strong understanding of CSS.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions based on user research and business requirements.

    • Other Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working on healthcare-related projects and familiarity with healthcare data standards.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies to facilitate effective collaboration with the engineering team. Particularly focused on CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Experience working with teams building technology in React and Angular is highly valued.
  • Previous experience in designing complex systems or enterprise-level applications.
  • Understanding of emerging design trends and technologies in UI / UX.
