MAIN PURPOSE

OF THE JOB :

The Technical Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of data used by GI technical teams (Actuarial, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Claims) for analysis and modeling. This includes a variety of tasks such as database maintenance, data extraction, reporting, and supporting the team with their technical data needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Design, develop, and maintain GI databases following company standards and best practices.
• Assist with data cleansing, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data quality.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for technical analysis.
• Generate reports and visualizations to communicate GI technical data insights.
• Provide technical support to the GI team on database access, data retrieval, and troubleshooting.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest actuarial data management tools and technologies.
• Document database processes and classification and procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate with the different business units to drive compliance with policies and regulations regarding data within the team’s domain.
• Help define the data dictionary for data entities within the team’s domain.
• Determine or improve applicable data quality and standardization rules to meet business objectives.
• Assist in the identification and remediation of data quality and security issues.
• Assist in the implementation of controls and procedures for data collection, storage, retention, use, and security including access management.
• Adhere to all data security and privacy regulations.
